Huntsville Bible College (HBC) is a post secondary biblical institution that believes it is important to balance the responsibilities of family, church and work to meet the needs of each individual in a personal way. HBC, formerly Huntsville Baptist Institute, was established in 1986 as a 501 (c) (3) institution of higher education to prepare individuals to become preachers and church leaders by assisting local churches to carry out their mission. To meet the future needs of the students and the community, HBC has expanded its program offerings to multiple fields of study.
HBC is a non-traditional institution that offers daytime and evening classes for the adult learner on campus, on-line, and on Saturdays in a small setting. The College is licensed by the Alabama State Department of Post secondary Education as a Private Institution and is accredited by the Association of Biblical Higher Education, to award certificates and Associate of Arts, Bachelor of Arts, Master of Ministry degrees, and Doctorate of Ministry
Huntsville Bible College has a diverse faculty population by gender, ethnicity, and faith. The College is nestled quietly in the center of Huntsville approximately two miles north of the Madison County Courthouse on Oakwood Avenue across from the Huntsville Emergency Medical Services.
ACCREDITATION
Huntsville Bible College operates under the authority of the Board of Directors and is licensed by the State of Alabama as a 501 (c) (3) private school approved by the Department of Education, Alabama Community College System. Huntsville Bible College is accredited by the Association for Biblical Higher Education Commission on Accreditation (5850 T. G. Lee Blvd., Ste. 130, Orlando, FL 32822, 407.207.0808) to grant certificates and degrees at the Associate, Baccalaureate, Master’s, and Doctoral levels. The ABHE Commission on Accreditation’s recognition with the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) includes certificates, diplomas, associate, baccalaureate, and graduate degrees, including doctoral degrees. The Commission’s scope of recognition with the U.S. Department of Education does not include doctoral education.

Welcome to Huntsville Bible College! Since 1986, Huntsville Bible College has dedicated itself to equipping leaders who are passionate about serving in both the church and the community. Our mission is built on preparing individuals for ministry, supporting local church missions, and helping students reach their academic and career aspirations. In today’s increasingly complex and challenging world—where truth is often questioned and leadership integrity is at risk—the need for Christ-centered servant-leaders who can address critical issues with wisdom and conviction has never been more urgent.As we enter a new season in the life of this institution, I am humbled to serve as only the second president of Huntsville Bible College. Our vision remains clear: to provide affordable, accessible, and accredited education that transforms lives and equips students to make a meaningful impact. Whether you are a recent high school graduate, a bi-vocational minister, an adult looking for spiritual growth, or someone seeking a new direction, HBC is here to support you.
