HBC President, Staffs, and Fellow Alumnus

I greet you in Jesus Christ’s name. Today, our normal way of living in this world are faced with difficult challenges in our lives. As we have been dealing with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic, the death of African-Americans at hands of police, and many protesting all over the world for justice and equality of life in the past few months. This has changed our way of doing things, that in some cases we took for granted. Many are working from home, completing school work from the dining room tables, parents are teaching their children at home, and many are unemployed.

>> It seems like we are living in a world similar to soap opera shows on television. Many are “Young and the Restless“ with quarantine fatality. Then “As The World Turns” we continue to watch the COVID-19 cases continue to increase throughout the world.

As we adjust to a new normal way of living by wearing masks in public, practicing physical distancing, and constantly sanitizing/washing our hands. This will be our “Days of Our Lives”.

With all of these things happening across the world but there is a word of comfort in Psalm 121:1-8 “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.”

So be encouraged my brothers and sisters because God is keeping us.

God bless,
